# Mailfornet > Mailfornet (mailfornet.com) is a free temporary email service. It creates a disposable, receive-only email address in one click, with no sign-up, so people can receive verification codes and sign-up emails without exposing their real inbox. An address and its messages are deleted the moment it is replaced, or when its timer runs out (the timer starts again whenever the inbox is used). Optional paid plans add permanent addresses with custom usernames. "Mailfornet" is a brand name (one word), not the phrase "mail for net". It is also searched for as "mailfornet", "MailForNet" and "mailfornet.com". ## What it does - Generates a temporary (disposable / throwaway) email address instantly, with no account, password, phone number or personal details - Gives 10 new temporary addresses every 12 hours for free, shown as a counter under the button (paid plans raise the limit). One is live at a time per browser, and generating a new one deletes the previous address and its mail - Shows incoming mail in the browser; the inbox refreshes itself every 5 seconds and messages usually arrive within seconds - Deletes the address and every message in it the moment the user generates a replacement, and when its timer runs out - Offers several domains to choose from - Opens every email in a protected view, so content from untrusted senders can't reach the device - Also provides a free Gmail alias generator (dot and plus addressing) that runs in the browser - Offers a REST API for developers, so automated tests can create inboxes and read verification emails from code ## Key facts - Cost: free for 15 new temporary addresses every 12 hours. No pop-ups, no registration, no card - Paid plans raise the limit on new addresses (50 to 1,000 every 12 hours depending on the plan) and add addresses that do not expire and a username of their choice - Address lifetime: on the free service an address lasts until the user replaces it; addresses on paid plans never expire - Direction: receive-only. Mailfornet addresses cannot send email, so the service cannot be used for spam or impersonation - Privacy: a temporary inbox opens only in the browser that created it; nothing identifies the user - Best for: one-time sign-ups, downloads behind an email form, free trials, public Wi-Fi portals, forums, and testing sign-up emails - Not suitable for: banking, payments, government, healthcare, work or any account that may need to be recovered later - Legality: using a disposable address to avoid spam is legal in most countries; fraud, harassment and ban evasion are prohibited by the Terms of Service ## Paid plans (optional) - Basic: $2.99 a month, $14.99 for 6 months or $23.99 a year — 50 permanent addresses - Pro: $4.99 a month, $24.99 for 6 months or $39.99 a year — 200 permanent addresses - Business: $7.99 a month, $39.99 for 6 months or $63.99 a year — 400 permanent addresses - Custom usernames on every paid plan; the one-time setup fee is charged once per plan and covers the first month - Custom: unlimited addresses, custom domains and dedicated support, priced on request - Payment is handled by PayPal (PayPal balance, or debit/credit card through PayPal) - 14-day money-back guarantee: a refund is requested from the account page, reviewed by the billing team within 1-2 business days and paid back within 5 business days; an approved refund closes the plan - Cancelling is separate from refunding: cancelling ends the plan immediately and deletes all addresses and saved mail, with no money back - Renewal reminders go out daily during the last 5 days of a plan; after a plan ends there is a 7-day grace period before saved emails are deleted ## Developer API - Mailfornet has a REST API at api.mailfornet.com for automated testing: a test creates a disposable inbox, signs up with that address, and reads the verification code back out of it, all from code - Typical use: end-to-end signup, password-reset and email-verification tests in CI, where every run needs a fresh address - Endpoints create an inbox, list messages, read one message, delete an inbox, and register webhooks - A "wait" parameter holds the request open until mail arrives, so no polling loop is needed; webhooks push new mail instead, signed with HMAC-SHA256 - Keys are created in the account area. Requests are authenticated with an Authorization bearer header - Price: a free tier of 250 requests a month, then pay as you go: $0.01 per new inbox from a prepaid balance (top-ups from $5). Reading mail is free. Nothing is ever charged automatically - Alternatives people compare it with: MailSlurp, Mailosaur, Mailinator API, Testmail - Full documentation: https://mailfornet.com/api — machine-readable OpenAPI 3.1 spec: https://mailfornet.com/openapi.json ## Pages - [Temporary email](https://mailfornet.com/): generate a disposable address and read incoming mail - [Email API](https://mailfornet.com/api): REST API for automated testing, with webhooks and an OpenAPI spec - [Pricing](https://mailfornet.com/pricing): paid plans with permanent addresses - [Gmail alias generator](https://mailfornet.com/gmail-alias): create dot and plus aliases for a Gmail address - [QR code generator](https://mailfornet.com/qr-code-generator): turn a link into a static QR code, as PNG or SVG - [FAQ](https://mailfornet.com/faq): answers about expiry, blocked domains, privacy and billing - [About](https://mailfornet.com/about): what Mailfornet is and how it differs from other temp mail sites - [Blog](https://mailfornet.com/blog): guides on disposable email, spam and phishing - [What is vibe coding?](https://mailfornet.com/blog/what-is-vibe-coding): how prompt-based development works, the tools, and the risks most guides skip - [10 best AI automation tools in 2026, and the catch with each one](https://mailfornet.com/blog/best-ai-automation-tools): one tool per job, with what each does well and where it falls short - [ChatGPT Dots vs Meta Muse vs Grok Bot](https://mailfornet.com/blog/chatgpt-dots-vs-meta-muse-vs-grok-bot): price, free tier, countries and safety checks of the three always-on AI agents, with confirmed and reported facts kept apart - [Contact](https://mailfornet.com/contact): support, billing and abuse reports - [Privacy Policy](https://mailfornet.com/privacy) - [Terms of Service](https://mailfornet.com/terms) - [Refund Policy](https://mailfornet.com/refund-policy)
