Higgsfield no credits: why a new account shows zero and what you can still do

You sign up, open the account menu, and Higgsfield shows no credits. Meanwhile a dozen guides promise 10 credits a day, or 150 on sign-up. Something has to be wrong with your account, or so it seems.

Usually nothing is wrong. Higgsfield's own help center says the free tier "doesn't include credits". This guide explains what a new account really gets, why the numbers online disagree, the reasons a balance that did exist drops to zero, and what to check before you write to Support.

Short version: a free Higgsfield account is not given a credit balance. You can generate on a small set of models, on higgsfield.ai only. New accounts are also offered a short welcome window of Pro features. Everything else needs paid credits, and those expire.

What Higgsfield says about the free tier

Three sentences from Higgsfield's help center answer most of the question:

  • "You can generate without a paid plan, but access is limited to a small set of models and doesn't include credits."
  • "There's no trial period. You can explore the platform on the free tier with a limited set of models, and upgrade when you're ready."
  • Free generations included in a plan apply on higgsfield.ai only, and "do not renew".

So a balance of zero on a new free account is the normal state. Free use is offered as access to certain models, not as credits you can spend anywhere.

Why other guides say 10 a day, 25 or 150

Search for the Higgsfield free plan and you will find different numbers on almost every page: around 10 credits a day, 25 on a promo sign-up, 150 on a "Basic" plan. They can't all be current, and Higgsfield's help center lists none of them.

The likely explanation is simple. Higgsfield has changed its free offer more than once, and articles written under an older setup stay online. Promotions also differ by time and by account. Higgsfield says of its Exclusive Offers that what is offered "can vary from account to account and from moment to moment".

If a guide promises a number and your account doesn't show it, trust the account. The Pricing page on higgsfield.ai and the credit balance under your avatar are the only two sources that count.

The welcome window new accounts get

There is one thing new accounts do receive, and it explains a lot of the confusion. We run a temporary email service, and the most common Higgsfield email we see arriving in new inboxes has this subject line:

"Welcome to Higgsfield. Pro features unlocked for the next 3 hours!"

It is followed, for many addresses, by a second one: "Your discount expires in 60 minutes".

We only see subject lines in our logs, not what each account was shown inside Higgsfield, so read this with that limit in mind. What the subjects tell us is that the welcome offer is measured in hours. It is a time window, and when it closes the account goes back to the plain free tier. That is the pattern behind "I had access when I signed up and now I have nothing".

Why a Higgsfield account shows no credits: every cause

1. It is a free account

Covered above. There is no balance to show. Free generations on the included models don't appear as credits.

2. The welcome window ran out

If you signed up, left, and came back the next day, the hours had already passed. Going by the welcome email, the clock starts when the account is created, not at your first generation.

3. You are using a tool that always costs credits

This one catches paying users too. Higgsfield's help center says free and Unlimited generations work on higgsfield.ai itself, and that "any generation made outside it" always deducts credits. It names MCP, the CLI, Canvas and Supercomputer. If you connected Higgsfield to Claude or ChatGPT and it says you have no credits, this is why.

4. The model is not in the free set

The free tier covers "a small set of models". Pick a premium model and Higgsfield asks for credits you don't have. Switch to a model that is open on the free tier and the same prompt runs.

5. Your credits expired

Paid credits do not last forever. Higgsfield lists five kinds, each with its own clock:

Credit typeWhere it comes fromWhen it expires
Subscription creditsIncluded in your planReset each billing cycle. Unused ones are lost at renewal
Credit Pack creditsOne-time purchase90 days from purchase
Auto-Refill creditsAutomatic top-up90 days from purchase
Promo creditsPromo codes or compensationOn the date shown when issued
Boost CreditsConcurrency Boost packs90 days from purchase

Higgsfield spends the credits that expire soonest first. On annual plans the subscription credits still reset every 30 days, which surprises people who expected a year's worth up front.

6. You cancelled

The terms say unused credits expire when the account is cancelled, and the help center lists cancellation as a cause of a zero balance. Cancelling switches off renewal. It does not keep the credits you had left.

7. The renewal payment hasn't gone through

On monthly plans, credits reset "once the monthly renewal invoice is paid". A failed or pending payment means no new credits yet. Check the billing section before anything else.

8. You are in a different account

It happens more than you would think. If you registered with one email address and later signed in with a Google, Apple or Microsoft login on a different address, you are looking at a second, empty account. Higgsfield requires you to sign in with the same method you registered with, and credits can't be moved between accounts. If the balance is missing, log out and try the other method.

9. The account is limited

If generations are paused or the account is under review, that is a different problem from an empty balance. See why Higgsfield suspends or restricts accounts.

How to check your real Higgsfield balance

  1. Sign in at higgsfield.ai and click your avatar at the top right. The menu shows your remaining credits.
  2. Open Manage Account (higgsfield.ai/me/settings). It shows the balance, a Top-up button and a usage history chart of your spending.
  3. Look at the usage history for the day the credits went. A generation, an expiry or a renewal will show there.
  4. Check your plan and the date of the last paid invoice.

Credits taken for a failed generation

Higgsfield says credits for generations that fail an NSFW check "are returned automatically" for most models. If a failed or blocked generation cost you credits and they did not come back, that is a valid reason to contact Support. Send the time of the generation and a screenshot of the usage history.

What you can do on a free account

  • Use the free models on the website. Stay on higgsfield.ai and choose a model that is open without a paid plan.
  • Use the welcome window on the day you sign up. It lasts hours, so it is gone by the next day.
  • Watch for promo codes from Higgsfield itself. Its help center has an article on how promo codes work. Promo credits carry their own expiry date.
  • Look at Credit Packs if you only need a few generations. They are a one-time purchase and last 90 days. The Pricing page shows which accounts can buy them.
A new account is not a way to get more credits. Higgsfield's terms forbid creating multiple accounts to get around usage limits, and linked accounts can be suspended. Since the free tier includes no credits, a second free account also starts at zero.

A note on sign-up emails

If you are only trying Higgsfield to see what it does, a temporary email for Higgsfield keeps the welcome and discount emails out of your main inbox. If you plan to buy credits, register with an address you will keep. Higgsfield does not let you change the email later, and credits can't follow you to a new account. More on that in is temporary email safe.

Common questions

Does Higgsfield give credits when you sign up?

Not as a standing rule. The help center says the free tier doesn't include credits and that there is no trial period. New accounts do get a welcome email offering Pro features for a few hours, which is a time window and not a balance.

Does Higgsfield give daily credits?

Higgsfield's help center lists no daily allowance. Many third-party guides still mention around 10 credits a day, which does not match Higgsfield's own pages as of October 2026. If your account shows none, that is consistent with what Higgsfield says.

Why did my Higgsfield credits disappear?

They expired. Subscription credits are lost at renewal if unused, purchased credits expire after 90 days, promo credits on their stated date, and cancelling removes subscription credits.

Do Higgsfield credits roll over?

No. The terms say subscription credits "do not roll over to subsequent billing periods".

Can I move credits to another Higgsfield account?

No. Credits are non-transferable under the terms, and the help center says credits, subscriptions and account data can't be transferred between accounts.

Can I get more credits by making another Higgsfield account?

The terms forbid multiple accounts made to get around usage limits, and a free account has no credits to begin with.
