Temp Mail for Minecraft: Verify Without the Marketing
Minecraft accounts now run through Microsoft, so signing up means creating a Microsoft account, and that brings its own flow of security notices, Game Pass offers and product emails alongside anything Mojang sends.
A temporary address handles the verification step and keeps the rest away. It is a reasonable fit for a test account to check a server, a second account for someone borrowing your setup, or an alt for a modded world. The account that owns your purchased copy should sit on a permanent email, since Microsoft recovery runs entirely through it.
What Minecraft actually sends you
It is a Microsoft account now
Minecraft sign-in runs through a Microsoft account, so the email you register is a Microsoft one. That brings Microsoft's own security mail alongside anything from Minecraft itself.
Marketing and launcher mail
Update announcements, marketplace offers, Realms promotions and Microsoft product mail all go to the same address.
The purchase is attached to the account
A bought copy of the game, any Realms subscription and marketplace items all belong to the Microsoft account. They are not transferable.

Minecraft and temporary email: common questions
Can I recover a Minecraft account without the email?
Only through Microsoft's account recovery, which needs security information you set up in advance. With nothing but a dead inbox the outcome is usually no recovery.
Is a temporary address useful for Minecraft at all?
For a free trial, a demo, a server test account or a second login for checking permissions on your own server — yes. For the copy you paid for, no.
Does Microsoft block disposable email domains?
It rejects many of them, and it is among the stricter services on this list. If Minecraft does not accept an address, use your regular email there.
