First, the part nobody tells you

You probably don't need this page. The free addresses on the home page give you 10 new ones every 12 hours, with no timer: one lasts until you replace it, and a new one costs nothing. For a sign-up, a download or a verification code, that is the whole job.

A plan solves three problems the free side deliberately does not. One address at a time — free gives you a single live address per browser, so you cannot run a shop address and a forum address side by side. One browser — a free address lives in the browser that made it, so it is not there on your phone or after you clear your data. And a random username, rather than one that looks like you.

What a paid plan gives you

• Many addresses at once. 50, 200 or 1,000 live together, depending on the plan — one per shop, one per client, one per project — instead of the single address the free side gives a browser.
• They follow you. You log in, so your addresses are on your laptop, your phone and any browser you pick up. A free address lives only in the browser that created it.
• Your own username. yourname@ on any of our domains, instead of the random one the free service hands out.
• Nothing expires. Free addresses end when their timer runs out; a plan's addresses keep receiving for as long as the plan runs, so a password reset still works next year.
• More mail kept. 200 to 1,000 emails per address, kept for as long as the plan runs.
• One dashboard. All of your addresses and their inboxes in one place, on desktop or phone.
• Priority support on the Pro and Business plans.

How billing works

• Pick how long you pay for: 1 month, 6 months or 12 months. A longer period costs less per month, and the switch above the plans shows how much you save.
• One payment, no setup fee. What you see is what you pay today, and it covers the whole period.
• No automatic charges. You are only charged when you choose to renew, for whichever period you pick then.
• Payment methods: debit/credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay, through Paddle's secure checkout.
• 14-day money-back guarantee: ask for a refund within 14 days and, once our team confirms it, you get the whole payment back, whether you paid for a month or a year. See the refund policy.
• Reminders: we email you every day during the last 5 days of your plan, so a renewal never takes you by surprise.
• If you don't renew: your addresses keep receiving mail for a 7-day grace period, then the saved emails are deleted.
